iv decided to look into doing a university degree in nursing. im just wondering, what sort of help i will recieve such as housing benefits etc.

thanks

Lemon, have you contacted the university direct and found out about special bursaries and funding? I am doing this and went to careers then job centre etc and they can't help with any of it, you have to go direct to the university. Some universities have family centres and nurseries on site and they do have special scholarships and awards for single parents and / or people with children on lower incomes. Just check and see what they have available. You won't be able to get income support if you get a grant, but I think you still get housing benefit and child benefit and tax credits.

im wanting to do midwifery is a funded course, so no fees. im going to ring the university tomorrow and ask more details.
