I really just wanted to tell my story. I had my son at 19 and have raised him alone and without any family support. He is now also 19, works 2 jobs and owns his own car. Its been a difficult journey but an amazing one. I worked full time since he was 3 and and spent my life running between work and school clubs. Then last year I broke my ankle and he became my carer. The saddest time was when he said he like me being off work as I was home to cook meals so at that point I changed jobs.
My son and I are really close and im proud when people say how great he is.
Being on your own is hard but it can be done.

How lovely to hear your story :)
I'm constantly worrying how Lucas will grow up to be, being an only child from a single parent home. Your son sounds awesome

I would be lying if I didn't say we had a few problems. Its tough but extra rewarding and I think we are closer for it. I just made sure in our busy lives we always had on night snuggled up watching movies.
Im sure you will do a great job

Aww how lovely and thank u for sharing, I do hope me and my son will be close, he's very independent atm but he's only 10 months old so I hope he does need me at some stage lol x

Brought a tear to my eye!!

Well done you!! I'm sure you're very proud of yourself, lovely story. Xx

Lovely and so heart warming. Thank you for sharing this with us. Nobody can replace a mother & her love & effort certainly don't go unappreciated. Your son caring for you when hurt your ankle is so nice to hear because you see so many kids take their parents for granted, under appreciate them & not taking care of their parents when it's their turn to be looked after. It seems as those you've done an amazing job with your son. I pray you and your son always remain close & happy
