Single parent Uni students help please

Can anybody help please? I start Uni Sept and really need to get my finances sorted asap. I have been awarded loans and grants but don't know where I stand in regards to Housing benefit, tax credits and income support. The jobcentre have told me that my income support won't stop but after reading online I think they have got it wrong. I don't know where to go for advice can anybody help.

Most uni's have a student advisor especially to help with things like this. But what I did is basically apply for anything and see which ones offered me things and which didn't. I don't think income support is affected by loans and grants for study in the same way other income affects it.
