Well yesterday was my first appointment. I am 9w2d pregnant but I noticed little peanut measured 8w6d.. Is that normal, just curious..

I was told that until your about 12 weeks they can't actually tell. When I had mine a few weeks ago when I thought I was 12, the baby measured 8. 3 weeks later I had another (weds just gone) and I measured 12+3. So it was a bit inaccurate at the 8 week scan. Have you another scan in a few weeks?

I go back on the 16th of this month to answer questions and everything. Then on Oct 4th I have another scan.I will be...13w6d at my next scan.

What did they give you for a due date?? I know I thought I was further than I was at my first appointment, but they moved my due date to match the size of the baby. She said sometimes the baby does catch up to what you think, but sometimes it doesn't, and you may have ovulated later.

don't worry hun, You're only measuring 3 days smaller. Perhaps you are a few days out on your due date :)

i was put 2 weeks out by my lmp but last three scand have worked out to be the dates they told me, i wouldnt worry to much tho aslong as baby is fine x x x

I've been put back 5 days at one scan then a further 2 at another so never fear! Our scans were a week apart and baby had still grown 10mm x

My SIL measured 5 days smaller at her first, now she's staying right where they told her. I only measured 1 day smaller so they told me to keep my EDD (since it was less than 5 days difference).
3 days difference isn't that big of a deal especially if you implanted late or early. it could change it around some- I probably just implanted at the later end (esp. since I think I Od 2 days early)

Ultrasounds between 6 and 12 weeks are accurate within plus or minus 5 days.... So the ultrasound says baby is 8wks + 6 days it actually means baby is anywhere between 8weeks + 1 day and 9 weeks + 4 days.

Also of note, ultrasounds done after 12 weeks are accurate within plus or minus 7 days...
