Hi ladies

Please help!!

My 10 week old seems to be stuck in the wrong routine of waking every few hours at night for feed and being wide awake and then sleeping very heavily in the day time - how can I change this round, since the beginning we have done the very dark quiet room at night and loud and bright in the day but she seems to get into a very deep sleep and the noise/light dont bother her, we are in the process of changing from breast to f/f but I think this is just making her more sleepy in the day, I am sooo tired, we have tried feeding her up through the day and the dream feeding but nothing seems to be working and I really dont know where to go from here. I know she needs to nap during the day

When Harry hit 3 weeks old he suddenly started being much more awake and alert in the day and I'd keep him awake by playing with him and putting him on the activity mat etc - do you have anything like that to keep baby interested/awake? Prior to that we'd done the same as you - making the room in the day really light and noisy, and also had lots of visitors who'd be holding and passing Harry around. Harry does still have lots of naps in the day, but they are shorter and much lighter.

Try and have lots of light and activities during the day, your baby will slowly realise the difference btwn night and day.

Toju was like this and changed after 4 weeks.
out of interest, what time of the day wasd your baby born? mine was born in the afternoon
