Tonight is the first night we have put Poppy in her cot to sleep (for the last few weeks she has been in her moses basket in the cot...)

There are some teddies at one end of her cot, and a cot bumper (she is nearer the other end of the cot which is empty). She doesn't ever move around in her sleep and doesn't roll from front to back yet. Will she be safe for now in the cot with other things in there or should I take it all out?? xx

i tend to remove any toys maddi has in her cot, but she has cot bumpers still, as they are really tightly fastened on. good luck tonight, i'm sure she'll be fine x

Poppy has a couple of toys at the top of her cot. She wouldn't be able to reach them at the moment. I suppose we will move them when she gets really active. Hope she sleeps well for you. x

She will be fine hun x

Harry is now in his cot. The first night I had just a cot bumper, and had made it up very clinically and by the book - cotton sheets all tucked in really tight etc! Harry didn't sleep very well.

So then I went to sleeping bags... Harry didn't sleep very well.

Now i'm back to swaddling him and it works, so i'm sticking to it.

I don't have any teddies or anything in the cot with him though, but that's mainly because I don't think he'd even notice them! I also have his nursery very dark, so he wouldn't be able to see them anyway.

I agree with Aly she'll be fine for now, Brooke has some teddies up the end of her cot too and theyre no where near her!!

Im sure it'll be fine if shes not mobile. Ive got to move Ellie in to her cot but shes poorly so i thought id wait until shes better im not looking forward to it!
