I know how tired you can get during pregnancy but this is just so different from my others! If I do sleep through, I can get 9 hours and still be utterly drained when I wake up. If not, then I'm up every half an hour to either pee, or because I've been having vivid, terrifying nightmares :'( I feel like I can never get enough, no matter how early I got to bed. I have to take another day off TAFE today because of it! I called my midwife and she said not to fight it, just sleep.
Anybody else like this? The people who say being pregnant shouldn't affect your regular lifestyle, are just big, fat liars!

People who DONT understand this are either lying or have never been pregnant :haha: haha. I've felt the same way. I am exhausted all the time, even when I get a long night sleep or take a nap during the day :(

It sucks, doesn't it! I mean, in a way it's comforting knowing that my little miracle is using all my energy but by golly gosh! To go one day without needing to nap for two hours at 10 o'clock in the morning would be a god send!
Lucky for me OH works a really physically strenuous job, so when I'm ready for bed and snugs (usually around 7-7:30 :haha:) he is all for it!

I have been struggling with my sleep since the beginning, it blows. :(

I have to take several days off high school because I can never sleep properly during the night. I sleep for about 6-8 hours tossing and turning all night. But whenever I get up to go to the washroom between 5-7am I can never go back to bed until the time I am supposed to get ready for school, and then I usually sleep through my first class.. And then I don't feel good for the afternoon. Ugh, the struggles.

I just hate that I'm missing so much of my TAFE! I'm at the end of my course and have three completed assignments sitting on my kitchen table but can't stand being on a train for an hour and walking for 20 minutes to hand them in :'( To make matters worse on that front, my police check still hasn't come through, so I can't go on placement (kind of like work experience), so all in all, I can't graduate until next intake. I found out I was pregnant the day of my orientation.
My educator is amazing though. He e-mails me everyday, telling me he misses me. He's so sweet, always asking if I'm ok. I guess it's not so much of a bad thing though, since pretty much no one will hire me while pregnant and I would much rather do my placement in the second tri, when I know there is far less of a chance of something going wrong....
Just a tad rant :haha: Sorry guys xo

I'm feeling this atm with SPD/reflux/general exhaustion and I have 3 assignments due in the next two weeks in university, that I need to do. In the last 2 nights I have had 5hours sleep.

Oh darl :hugs:
At least your LO isn't too far off coming into this world... But then that just brings a whole new range of sleep troubles, I guess

When I was pregnant with Scarlet, this was actually my first symptom! I stopped being so drained probably after the first trimester, but I haven't gotten a full nights sleep since. :dohh:

My son STTN from 4 weeks so I pray this LO is a sleeper too lolxx

I may sound strange but I can't wait for my LO to be the reason I don't get much sleep :haha: Every second will be oh, so worth it

Sleeping sucks -.- lol, that's all I have to say.

This is one thing I don't miss about being pregnant! First tri was terrible but I did start feeling a bit more energetic once I got into 2nd tri so hopefully you'll be feeling a bit less drained soon :hugs: xx

I have been getting my energy back, thank goodness. Although, it seems to be replaced with heartburn and headaches! Yay? Haha

My midwife has told me panadol and gaviscon are fine. I've used gaviscon but not too keen on taking pain medication... I know it's safe and all, I'd just rather not take any chances. I've found a cool washer or ice packs on the back of my neck help heaps :)
