slightly freaking out... help!

Okay. So i normally get my period every 28 days. i'm on birthcontrol but we're not using any other protection.. I was supposed to get my period on sunday and its thursday now. Monday i got a little bit of dark brown discharge but no blood. I've been reading that it could be implantation bleeding! Im in nursing school so a baby needs to wait. what should i do? could i be pregnant? the only symptoms i have is occasional breast tenderness. When should i take a test.! Help!

Hello if youre late you can take a test now and if youre preg it will show positive
