SMA Anti reflux - any experience??

Hi all. I spoke to Rebecca's consultant today and he suggested SMA AR as an option to try to help her silent reflux. Has anyone tried this and if so was it successful? Did it make your baby constipated or did you give water to combat this? If it did help, how long did it take to have an effect? If you got it on prescription, how does it come (powder or carton) and how much did you get at a time? Did your LO keep drinking the same number of oz or did it drop off?

Did it make your baby constipated or did you give water to combat this? No. We chose to use SMA Staydown (thats the name of it) because Gaviscon made LO constipated. SMA Staydown didnt.
If it did help, how long did it take to have an effect? Pretty much straight away, her nappies improved in a few days

That's fab, thanks for replying. I'm glad it was so successful for you.

Since we've started the baby rice, Rebecca seems to be much happier but it's early days (only 3 days in!). If she does downhill again, the consultant has said this is a good next step.
