My lil boy is very sicky therefore I've just started him on sma stay down as hv suggested it could be reflux. How long before you noticed a difference in your LO?
And can you use infacol aswell? As he was on this before as he s quite windy aswell but not sure weather can use both and forgot ask hv.

We noticed a difference almost immediately - she was really bad with reflux till she went onto that xxx

It works very well for a couple of weeks with ds. Almost instant as pp said above.

I wouldn't advise using infacol/dentinox/etc. if your baby has reflux as they can make reflux worse. We noticed a big difference in ds when we stopped wind treatment and treated his reflux only, using a bit of gripe water if he needed it. Some of the symptoms cross over so you may find your lo isn't really windy at all.

I am using the Aptamil anti-reflux as my baby is very sicky... I started it yesterday and everything was going really great, no sick... until this morning when she projectile vomited over everything.
As its only been 24 hours since we started I am going to carry on and hope things improve.

Did you find your LO was a lot more sick in the morning? My LO has always practically bought his first bottle completely up. He's still doing this, and is still quite sicky. I'd as its not as bad but it's not a significant difference as of yet. It's only the 3rd da using it though so fingers crossed.

When ds started projectile vomiting the staydown milk we took him to the gp. He was given gaviscon and put back on normal milk. He ended up needing ranitidine too but a lot of reflux babies are helped with gaviscon alone. If stay down isn't staying down I'd suggest the gp.

I do actually find that baby is more sick in the morning and during the day, at night she generally okay. We found that if we change her after feeding her she is sick as well, so now we do this before feeding.

This has been a God send for us. Dd started it in jan and is now 6 months and has gone up a percentile!

She still refluxes but defo not as bad and the volume is much less. Could be she could be tr sma but I'm too scared to take her off and she loves it. It's a faff to make but we noticed the difference within a couple of weeks. First week she was quite unsettled and colicy which was no fun but once her body adjusted she was fine!

Good luck X

Did anyone notice that LO's poo's were a lot more runny after starting the reflux milk? We have been using it for about 4 days and each time we feed her she has to go to the toilet (and its not pleasant!)
I had heard it can make them constipated but it seems to be the other way round?

Thank you :)

My LO was on SMA stay down after really bad reflux, which made him really constipated.. as did gaviscon. It did make a difference in the amount he was bringing up, quite a lot of difference, but me and my OH decided we'd prefer a bit of sick to him being constipated.

x

It has refused the amount he brings up but he still is quite sicky at times. However it's not every bottle anymore. He's gone from nearly every nappy being dirty to just going once a day. I can tell when he's trying for a poo so I take his nappy off put it on the floor (well started putting it in his potty now) and then holding him above it asif hes on the toilet and he goes straight away. Maybe worth a try if your LO is struggling to go.
