Hi ladies,

Well, after my lo turning into a vomit machine in the last 2 weeks we decided to change her from her Hipp Organic 1st Milk to the SMA Staydown.

She was having one poo a day, which was very sloppy scrambled egg (lol tmi :haha:)

Her first poo since being on the new milk was more of a formed poo, which was softer as she finished off...i know this as i watched her progress as she was making such loud noises! So simply put she isn't constipated, but a definate change.

I was just wondering if this is just the 'norm' for this milk or is it just due to the changeover and wil settle over time?

Thanks for any advice, and sorry for the tmi...why do mum's always talk about baby poo so much? :haha::haha::haha:

Sounds normal to me, the "thicker" milks arent as easy to digest as this helps with the sickness :)

since changing abigail onto the SMA Staydown a week ago- he poos are more formed, this sounds sooo gross but they are like pate in texture!

on SMA Gold she had runny greeny/yellowy poos so they have definitely changed in consistency.

Its not made her constipated- but actually sorted out her poo cycle...she went once every 2/3 days with the Gold and now goes once EVERY day (sometimes twice) so a definite improvement!

The milk is thicker but also expands inside the stomach when it heats up so it 'stays down'...its a little harder to digest so poo's should be a bit less runny- very normal with this milk said my midwife! (mum lol)

sounds normal to me, our LO is the same

Thanks for the replies :flower:

Still waiting on poo number 2! lol

Its great to be reassured as i've never used this type of milk with my other 2 girls, so wasn't sure. Sorted out the vomiting though, just the normal bits of milk coming up now instead of half the bottle :happydance:

Thanks again
