Small baby or big clothes?

Anna will be 1 on the 27th of next month

...But she is still in 6-9 month clothing (and I mean they fit her loosely). Anyway, today I decided to be brave / have a laugh and put her in clothes of her age size...

These are size 9-12 months:

Is it that all the clothes are set to funny ages? Or is it that Anna is smaller than most her age?

I'm not worried about her as she is obviously a very healthy little person, if anything she is just petite. But I just wondered if everyone else had this 'problem' of clothes their size not fitting? Like are all clothes aged wrongly, or is it just Anna who is a titch? I'm just curious...

My three have always been 'smaller' than clothes sizes - most people I talk to say their LO's are too! And you're not a big person either so I think she's fine - who says whats 'normal'??? x

Jasmine has just gone in to 9-12 hun as shes 1

millie is 2 years old and can fit in to some 9/12 months jeans and tops

I think probably clothes sizes are made to be quite big for the ages on them chick and maybe Anna is just a little bit petite!Shes a very pretty girlie...xx

Hannah's usually in the size up but it's because of length. They swamp her everywhere else

Thanks everyone. I had a suspicion that many people might be the same. But my sister is 10 months old and she is wearing some 12-18 months! lol

Every baby is different so I guess the sizes really mean nothing! haha

i find that different shops come up differently but on the whole i'm finding 3-6months a bit small and 6-9 a bit big

anna is very cute and perfect btw x

my son is almost 8 months and he is is in 12-18 most of the time, but there are some clothes in that size that are really big on him. so it depends on the make too. i find carters and gerber really small

kathryn is only 5 months and already in 6/9 month clothes (even some 9/12 month clothes that run small), but then again she is in the 90th percentile for height, her feet are already going past the end of her car seat a bit

She is probably just alittle petite. Nothing wrong with that. She is a little cutie!
Colton will be one on the 13th of March, but he is in 12-18mo clothes. And a few 18-24month pieces fit him

She could be on the smaller side, but Claire has some sleepers that are considered "newborn" yet are HUGE on her, and other sleepers of a different brand that are 3-6months and fit her just fine. Every brand seems to have it's own idea for sizes due to age.

Morgan is 7 months old and is STILL wearing 0-3 month clothes!!
