Snorting/Congestion + teething HELP!!

My son just got tooth 7 & 8 (his two front teeth)...it seems that ever since they poked through, he has been 'snorting'...it sounds like hes congested. He did have a cold a couple weeks ago, but the runny nose has stopped but he still snorts. I can hear him in the monitor now and it sounds like he's snoring. I put a little Vicks (vaporub) under his nose, and hes been sleeping through the night, so I don't think its bugging him, but my MIL comments all the time "Oh, he sounds congested..." and I'm like "no, I don't think so..." but now I'm getting concerned as its been 3 weeks now.

Does teething play a part in this? Seems to have happened around the same time...

Teething or a cold would cause congestion. My LO has been getting this now that he's cutting molars. I mix coconut oil with tea tree oil and rub it on his chest (it's similar to Vicks) and the congestion went away over night
