So angry!!!!

I rang the early pregnancy unit this morning as I woke up with a sharp shooting pain in my left side.

They told me I had to ring my GP so I did......only to be told I have to ring back at 2pm!!!!!! I'm disgusted that they can be so blasé about it!

Are you bleeding or anything? Any shoulder pain - unfortunatly they dont take ectopic symptoms 'that' seriously, I had an ectopic and had to wait in A&E with internal bleeding for 4 hours then told to go home and come back in the AM which ended up with me being in theatre. Keep an eye out for shoulder tip pain hun - go straight to A&E xxx

Make sure you make it clear how bad the pain is and they take you seriously. I'm afraid some healthcare professionals over here tend to think that we pregnant women "overreact" to everything so you need to make them listen. You know your body best and what's normal and what's not so don't let them fob you off.
