So anxious! UPDATE!

I have had a terrible time with previous pregnancies as some of you may know.

My last pregnancy ended in Feb 2010, when at 16 weeks it was found that there was a chromosomal problem which meant that bubbs was 'not viable for living', and i had to have a termination.

I am now 16 weeks... and terrified about my upcoming scan on Monday. I have had 4 scans so far, and everything looks ok, measured correctly, NT was fine etc. They also did full bloods, and they came back fine, so no indication so far of any problems. So why i am so worried?? I feel rough the vast majority of the time, which i take as a good sign. No pains, other than trapped wind (sorry if tmi! lol) or ligaments. No bleeding (with the last three i had some form at different points). So why do i feel apprehensive about Monday?? I still haven't told most of my family and friends, just my Mum, Dad and brother, and a couple at work.

Fingers crossed for monday, maybe after that i will tell the others! lol... at this rate i'll be dropping before i tell them!

Just back from hospital. Had a very thorough scan. All looks great! Measurements, development, brain, heart etc. Saw the blood flow thru the heart. All the levels of the brain and such.

Very happy and very relieved! PHEW!!!

Your experience is what has done this, even mummies who have never gone thru a loss feel sme anxiety.

I have only had one loss and even that has meant that every scan has been an anxious one - my oh hates scans now.

I hope you do get to start enjoying your pregnancy - for me I swing between happy and excited over to worry but the happy excited moments are really lovely.

Allow yourself to believe that everything will be ok

It's totally understanable given what you've been through. Good luck at your scan Monday. I have one too and I am terrified as well. I am sure you will be just fine given how far along you are.

Oh flower! You have been through such a terrible time - of course it will affect your state of mind in this pregnancy! Just take small steps Hun. You are clearly a very strong and brave lady! Sooooo relieved... was a stressful hour in there while bubbs wriggled round and made life difficult! but it was so worth it! I am so pleased that i decided to give this another go! xxx

Oh Peril I'm so happy everything is fine! I was also panic-stricken for our early anomaly scan, it's horrible knowing that even after 12 weeks we're far from safe.
