So Confused (Charting)

I am SO damn confused. I woke up this morning, took my temp, noticed it was the highest it's been, and I thought "Yes! I probably ovulated yesterday!" I plugged it into fertility friend (link is below in my signature), which then indicated that I ovulated on Monday. Not only that, but my coverline was way lower than I expected it to be.

I mean, I don't care either way. If I did ovulate on Monday, well, we had BD 3 of the previous 5 days, so hopefully one of the little swimmers did what it needed to do....

When do you guys think I should first try to POAS? Is it generally best to wait a full 2 weeks after ovulation, or is it possible to know earlier?

it's possible to know earlier...sometimes around 10 dpo...but i've heard of a lot of women who don't get their bfp until they're actually late. it all depends on your body...

Did you have cramping Monday? When do you normally ovulate? I think you ovulated on Monday, but I could be wrong. If you didn't have that flat temp FF probably would have put a solid line on Monday as O day. The dotted cross means they aren't 100% sure.

Oh and btw, are you taking your temps at the same time every morning or sleep with your mouth open? 30 minutes later/earlier will even make a difference. Your temps seem pretty erratic and it makes it hard to read when you ovulated.

i'd wait until at least 10dpo but if u gt bfn you'll drive your self mad buying tests and poas. try to hold out as long as you can x

I take my temp pretty regularly at 6:15. It's usually no earlier than 6:05, but definitely not later than 6:15. There was one day that I took it early - Saturday, because I had to get up early that day.

This is only the first month I've really charted religiously. I had my IUD removed on Feb 21st, started my period of Feb 23rd, and didnt get my period again until April 14th....so i don't have a "regular ovulation date" just yet. I've been on Depo, the pill, and the IUD for the last 11 years! Prior to that, my period was like clockwork, every 33 days. I'm not sure if it's going to go back to that or not.

I dont remember cramping...not bad enough for me to notice it. Honestly, I was a little worried that i would be anovulatory for a few months, so if I DID actually ovulate, then it's a relief because it means I have a chance....

I'd agree with FF. It probably has the dotted lines because you didn't enter CM. It should tell you on your chart what it is that's throwing it off. But the interpretation looks right to me.

Look to see that your temp stays up. If it stays up 18 days (if you can avoid POAS-ing before then!), minus a dip perhaps, you're likely pregnant!

Yeah - FF told me that it would be more accurate if I would chart other fertility signs, such as CM, but I'm still trying to get used to telling the difference. *Possible TMI* It ALL looks the same to me....well, I can tell the sticky kind, but I kinda feel like I skip from sticky to just wet, I can't tell a difference between creamy and wet, or the actual EW.... So I just chose not to record those this time since I wasn't sure if I could tell the difference correctly.

Maybe I'll try to figure it out better next month, if I have to...hopefully though, I won't.

To me it looks like you ovulated yesterday, but you will know more in the next 2 days when you see your temp. FF tried to tell me that I had ovulated like 3 days earlier than I did and it looked like yours where I had a temp that was on the high end of my pre O temps. Do you use OPKs? The combination of those with temps work really well!
