So excited!!

Firstly Hi everyone :wave: I have lurked for a while but now it is my time to spill lol

We had originally booked the Holiday Inn credit crunch wedding.It was perfect but started to get expensive.So we tried to lower our guest list but people started grumping and moaning.We wanted certain people to the day but not the others and for the others we didn't want to day we would have had to the evening reception (hope you still with me) But this caused so much conflict we nearly pulled out but after much thought and a lot of phone calls today we have this plan.And I will make it work!!

I don't have family as such.I only talk to my brother.My OH is one of 13!! But they are not close and since we lost his Dad this year a huge rift between us all.It is my 30th on Wednesday and we are holding a 1980's party on the saturday.Not one has bothered replying so this has made our decision so much easier

I used to live in Cornwall and always wanted to get married there.When we finally decided to do the wedding low key I said lets go to a registry office in Cornwall and have my close friends who still live there as our witnesses and then a holiday just us and the kids.OH was all up for it so I did a bit of looking and this is the plan :-

We are renting a farmhouse for 2 weeks in Cornwall during which we get married!The 1st week will be getting things together and having pre wedding drinks then the wedding It will be in Bude Castle near the beach.We then go on to to the grounds for our pictures and down to the beach.Then we go to the restaurant next door for a sit down 3 course meal overlooking the beach.We get the whole restaurant for 3 hours at no extra cost.We will then take the kids to my friends Dads who will babysit whilst we all go out and party Then we will go to a hotel for the night and then in the morning go get the kids and spend the last week of our holiday as Mr and Mrs!!

And then the week after we get home we will hold a huge party at the local football club and invite every one to come and celebrate our marriage.We will have a buffet and speeches and a cake.And I get to wear my dress again!!

It is the best of both of both worlds.A dream wedding,low key and perfect and then a huge party for everyone and for the people who are cross with us for doing it this way then bleurgh to them!!

So 2 cakes,2 receptions get to wear my dress twice and show my love for my man twice!!This works out so much cheaper and a holiday as well.Sorry it's long xxx

Zoe, I am so, so pleased that you finally have the wedding you wanted! You deserve so much happiness hun and this is just the start. I'm very jealous though. I loved my wedding so much and would have loved to wear my dress twice and have two cakes!! I think all us November mummies should gatecrash your second do, wearing our wedding dresses!! Although I'd love to see us all try to squeeze into them after having our November babies!!!

Im so sorry your original plans have been thwarted because of disrespectful people, but in a way i am glad, as this will be more of a wedding to you, in a place you love and is "home" Im also just a little bit jealous, it sounds so perfect, but you deserve every bit of happiness babe.
Looking forward to the gatecrashing of the 2nd bash, although minus the bridesmaid dress, but i'll sort something
