Great. So fob quit his job, isn't claiming benefits and doesn't have to pay a single penny towards his daughter. Where as when my maternity is over I'll be working, looking after lo and having to pay for everything she needs while he is out partying with his friends, not having to look after her as he's 3 hours away and not even having to work.

Where the hell is the justice in that? He's a 22 year old guy who has no friggin reason to not be working.

I could cry this is so unfair and yes I know life isn't fair but he wanted to have her as much as I did, or so he said. It's not like I even forced him into it but now once she's here he backs out. I HATE MEN!

Well his friend is letting him stay rent free but other than that I have no idea as he doesn't tell me anything incase I get some money. His mother also just had a massive go at me, blamed him not seeing her on me even though it's because he's just not been arsed. Seriously some people.

It won't last long he'll be needing money at some point and if you have a claim with CSA it will all be backdated (supposedly). Just make sure you keep record he's never paid for LO when she's old enough to understand x

im sorry im in the same boat sorta but if they dont pay they dont have rights to the child or to help make decisions about the child as well as eventually they will put him in jail but he should have to pay something with or with out income at least thats how the county attorney explained it to me a while back before i said forget it i dont need him and his stupid money

Doesn't work like that in the uk sadly he can still get access to see her regardless of if he pays or not sadly. He's not on her bc tho so if he's going to be a d*ck I'll just be one too!

I really do not know how the child support system works where you are, but that seems crap. I do believe here in U.S. they would still be given an amount to pay and then if they do not pay it piles up. Basically, if he quit his job his original amount would still be honored for you but although you are not receiving it he would face a felony conviction for not paying etc. But I am not all too familiar with our system either.

He wont last very long mooching off of people and not contributing anything to them so I wouldn't worry unless his over bearing, out of her mind mother decides to support him for the rest of his life that is. Pathetic.

The US system sounds so much better than ours! He really has no excuse and his psycho mother who's son can apparently do no wrong probably would support him, he's not living with her only due to the fact his step dad agrees with me and told him to pull his finger out, which he didn't like. The guy has had 9 months to prepare for this not to mention the additional 6 weeks since she's been born, his mum actually said "oh he'll come good in the end" well I'm sorry but in the end is a bit late considering Shes already here and already needing fed, clothed, sheltered and kept warm. Gah!
