So frustrated!

So my son's dad is only ordered to pay 70 dollars in child support a month he never pays me and when he does it's not even usually 10 dollars I got a payment today under 7 dollars what is that going to get my 4 year old? This is just insane and makes me furious! There isn't any reason why he shouldn't be able to pay it he has a job and makes more than minimum wage which is 7.25 I think he makes around 10 dollars an hour give or take in one day he could make one month's worth child support. How difficult can that be. It isn't until domestic relations threatens him with court I usually get more but that is every few months and isn't really enough to keep me on top of things for Alex. He will pay little amounts not worth anything a lot of the time when I do get payments and domestic will tell me he is attempting to pay so they can't do anything one time I got only a 2 dollar payment yea that won't even get him milk! Anyone have any ideas on how to deal with this?

Unfortunately there isn't much of anything you can do, and it sucks but In the end you can't make them be responsible .

I don't know whether you have maintenance enforcement or CSa of something similar but they can sometimes garnish wages and such to get the money. But if he's attempting to make payments it's unlikely they will care


I've basically learned that I hve to provide for my kids alone and then any money I do get from suppose to just use to spoil them an save for education instead of depending on it to pay bills

$70? Are is wages being garnished or does he just pay what he wants, when he wants. Sounds like an odd arrangement.

Do they not have child support enforcement in PA? I thought it was a service offered in all states?

Here they'll just pull payments right out of a supporting parents bank account. If there aren't funds available in the account on any kind of regular basis they'll pull the money directly out of their checks before they get them and/or suspend their drivers license until they get caught up on their back support.

Is he paying you directly? Doesnt he have to pay via child services?
