Hi All,
Ive been lurking for a while and after finding out that the journey to motherhood is going to be a little tougher than expected I finally decided to post.
I am 29 and DH is 33 weve been married 8 years and currently TTC for 1 yr or so. Prior to that I was on the pill (consistently for a few years) and on and off other times. Trying to follow what I thought was normal protocol I let my ob/gyn know that my year of trying was unsuccessful, so now what. Long story short, after a few blood tests, ultrasounds, SAs, and visits to the urologist we are now seeing an RE and dealing with severe male factor infertility.
7/12 DH and I visited Huntington Reproductive Center to meet Dr. Michael Feinmann. (After some googling I discovered this is the same clinic that TLCs Little Couple used)
Had another transvaginal ultrasound and were sent on our merry way to wait for AF. 7/27 AF arrives and today (CD3) I went in for some bloodwork and another ultrasound. They sent me home with orders to go get labwork for infectious disease panel for both of us and karyotyping for DH. Since my OB didnt do a HSG Im scheduled for one next Wednesday.
Im thinking about starting a blog of some sort, maybe even video blogging to chronicle my journey. Ill post up a link once I figure everything out. Im trying not to be discouraged, I feel pretty blessed to have the opportunity to have the option of IVF. I look forward to keeping in touch with you guys!
