We are expecting number 2 and although we won't find out which team til next month we don't have any names in the bank! I have a few I sort of like but being a teacher there are so many that I just *can't* use. Plus we don't want the same initial as myself, hubbie or LO. Anyone else in a similar situation?
So many names ruined from being a teacher!

Haha so true. I have a bunch of friends who are teachers, and every time we talk about names, they're always saying "there's a really naughty boy in our class with that name.."
I work at a dentist, and we see lots of kids too - I use it more as a way of finding names I like! But I don't spend as much time with the children as you do to form too much of a strong opinion of them.
I just feel the older you get, the harder it is. Everyone has already used all the good names.

So me!! I currently teach 6 year olds but I've taught middle school troubled youth for 3 years prior to moving to the primary grades. There are SO many names that I can't stand now!! Emily has ALWAYS been my #1 choice for a girl but now I can't bring myself to even consider it because of past students (good and bad)!!

Haha yessss i understand!! My husband is a teacher (has been for 6 years) and I am half way through my teaching degree.
Anyway... I am always suggesting names and when we finally find one we both like! I write it on a list. At least monthly, my DH comes home and will say "we need to take this name off the list". So frustrating!

Yep me too, I've been reaching for 9 years and so many names - including my favourite boy name - have been ruined by children. I find its not even just naughty children but once I've taught a child with that name I can't stand to use it even if they were lovely

I don't assc names with a set person. I know loads of people with my childrens names, some I dont like but I dont really think of it as I choose the names I love x
