So maybe I can do this.

While, technically I am a single mum, I'm fortunate enough to live at home with my parents who absolutely adore my son and help me out a lot. They do bath time a couple of days a week, help with keeping on top of washing, ironing, cleaning. But the last fortnight they've been away on holiday and for the first time I've been completely by myself.
And I've done it! The house is still standing, we're still alive, the place is relatively clean and I've not gone stir crazy. I haven't had to ask any favours, I've managed everything all by myself. My confidence has taken a huge lift, I was scared I would always be dependant on my parents but no, I can do this! Yay!

Ps, theyre not actually back til tomorrow, I may still fall apart but here's hoping :)

Well done for keeping it together!

I cope pretty much on my own with very little help, and sometimes when im absolutely shattered and LO wont stop crying i do think im gonna go crazy, i have to phone my mum to take her, but over all, most of the time, i cope and sometimes i feel very proud of myself for doing something i never thought id be able to do.

It's a great feeling isnt it? It's something ive always worried about. I do the majority of caring for Ryan myself, I feel bad putting him on my parents, they only help out if they want to. I think I just always worried what I would do on my own. But ive been tested a lot this last week - sleep regression, fob drama, demanding dogs, ryans been put on antibiotics he refuses to take. I know it's every day life for a lot of people, and I have huge respect for them, Im just glad to know I can do it too.

I live with my parents, but I take care of LO 100% Sometimes I wish they'd help with the laundry or something, but nope. Every once in a while, they beg me to let them hold her.. But I feel so guilty when they hold her, like I'm neglecting her. I do wish I had help though, you're very lucky! And don't worry, I'm sure you'll do a wonderful job without them, you just don't need to! which is awesome.

You're right, you can do this xx

We are always so much stronger then we believe! I have full confidence you CAN do this on your own, Not saying there won't be a few more greys patches in your hair or you wont want to cry some nights, But you CAN do it! Its so awesome that you were able to learn this with a bit of a safety net still in place so it wasn't as scary. I am proud of you and you should be too!
