So Sick :( Going to Doctor!

Ok so I just got off the phone with the nurse at my gyno's office... and I told her I have like a really bad head cold or a sinus infection .. my ears a clogged and my nose is clogged and my throat hurts!!! .. so I asked her if I should go to the gyno for a Dr's visit or my regular physician.. she told me go to my physician.. so I have a Dr.'s appointment today at 3:15pm. She did say I'm allowed to take the Z-Pack (Zithromax) and Ammoxicilian, Which I'm allergic to...

I know we're not doctors on here... but has anyone else taken antibiotics while pregnant?? I know the nurse said its ok.. but I'm still scared!!

I've taken antibiotics [amoxicillan] whilst pregnant for a UTI twice. As far as I know there are no adverse effects. Bubs is still the same as always. I was assured by my doctor and pharmacist that they were very baby-safe.

I had to take Zithromax for my pneumonia in December. Well..I was SUPPOSED to...but I didn't take it cause I was too nervous, but that's what my OB/GYN prescribed for me. If they prescribe something I would definietly take it. Don't be dumb like me and fight it off yourself. Feel better!

for all my horrid colds they have only given me a steroid nose spray.

I can understand why your worried hun, but im sure the nurse wouldnt say its ok if it wasnt.

Thanks girls... I'll keep you posted.. I'm pretty sure I have a sinus infection... and I probably got it from my husband.. so we both have Dr.'s appointments today.

I just fought off a sinus infection last week and I was miserable! Take medicine if they offer it lol, I was too stubborn and it was a hellish week.

Ooh and my doctor also says that taking Tylenol is fine, so if you've got a sinus cold maybe Tylenol Sinus?

I've taken antibiotics while pregnant. My doctor said she wouldn't prescribe them to me if they weren't safe. I think lots of preggo girls go on antibiotics because an infection is no good for you or baby. Hope you feel better soon.

I've done a course of Amoxi after a root canal two months ago ONLY because I was pregnant and didnt want any possibility of infecting the baby..Otherwise, I never take abs. Dee and little Louis.. feel better soon!
