Not at my baby god no have never n never will but his dad and I had a massive row that's been brewing allweek tonight and I'm ashamed to say I shouted at oh while holding my baby in my arms now I'm worried if I damaged his hearing by this, he's full of babble and loves to screach but after I shouted he just got upset after I put him in his bouncer and his dad picked him up straight away n comforted him but he was just quiet really I'm worried I did something that has I paired his hearing he hasn't had his hearing test yet I don't know when he will I persume the clinic check it at his next check up no1 has ever said anything to me about it! Im upset even thinking if I did I would never forgive myself if there was a problem, I dont think there is as he's very alert and nosey and loves to chat and babble etc, oh god why did I shout? I just got fed up with oh and things that have been going on as in his attitude towards me etc although we have sorted it out now n he has alpoligised to me, he tells me not to be silly n babys fine but again I go thinking what if........

Baby will be fine... it will take a lot more than one episode of shouting to damage his hearing. He's probably being quiet because he's shocked by what happened. He'll be ok :hugs:

Thanks hun hes sound asleep since 9ish and its 10.33 pm now, god i hope he's ok

he will be totally fine, he's probably just processing and adjusting to what happened because it was out of the norm for him. he's okay!!

Shouting will not have damaged his ears I'm sure. I was pretty peeved at my sure start centre, they had a fire alarm test so told us just to wait in the room and the alarm was sooo loud and going off for ages, it was bad enough for me so I was really worried about LOs ears. I was worried that the alarm noise would damage the range of his hearing cos children hear much more than adults.

He would've had a hearing test in hospital at birth.

And you wouldn't have damaged his hearing he's probably just a bit upset and stressed by what happened!

Ktod hope it lo was ok after the alarm m not too frightened poor baby hopefulfor1st I dunno nothing was ever mentioned to either of us
