for the past like 2 weeks I noticed that I was having blurry vision on and off and pain under the right side of my ribs. Then the last like 4 or 5 days I was having some abdominal pain but I thought it was just my muscles stretching like my doctor told me last time. So I kinda just brushed it off. Then on Christmas morning I was getting ready and straightening my hair and looked up and seen little dots everywhere. Then I remembered that in like all of my pregnancy books it said that these were signs of preeclampsia, but I figured we were having people over so if it didn't get better by the time they left i'd call the hospital and see if I should come in or not. So they all left and I went online and started reading more about it and got freaked out, so the hubby told me to call the hospital. They told me to come in.

So we got there and they hooked me up and monitored the babies heart rates and seen if I was having any contractions. They also gave me an IV so I wasn't dehydrated. Turns out I was having some contractions but I wasn't dilated. So over the next 4 hours they gave me 3 shots to try and stop the contractions, one in my arm, and one in each thigh. After the third they slowed down and basically stopped so they sent me home. The nurse told me i'm basically on bed rest, so housework, sex, walking, nothing besides laying down.

But I go to my doctor today so we'll see what she says . . . i'll keep you guys updated.

That does suck, but at least you don't have too much longer to go with your girls. I am glad to hear that they got your contrations stopped. If you do end up on bed rest, maybe so of the other US ladies and I can send you a care package to keep you busy!!

I went to the doctor and was told that I have to limit my physical activity as much as I can, so basically lay on the couch all day lol. Even when I just get up to go to the bathroom the hubby yells at me =]

Good luck, it goes by slowly when you are in the middle of it, but when I look back on my 6 weeks of bed rest, I think WOW that flew by!

I'm sorry to hear that! It sucks being on bedrest, it gets really boring. A few weeks ago I had to go to L&D for pain which ended up being contractions, and they put me on bedrest after going home. It was so boring... And DH yelled everytime I got up too. I'm like...CALM down, I just have to pee. LOL Its cute tho when they take care of us. Hope it gets better.
