Just rang up to do my renewal tax credits. :hissy:

Hate this time of the year, and im sure we're gonna have to pay something back, plus our payments will have gone down.

As if we arent already skint!

awww pooo I NEED to do mine over the phone tomorrow!!!! I MUST remember!

:hugs:

i know, i tried putting mine off, but the longer i do it, the more ill have to pay back if i need to.

I phoned them up last week and Im due a payment 2moz, I know it would have gone down quite abit, according to hubbys P60 it was just over 4k more than last year :dohh:, Im hoping the payments wont go down to much

Ive heard there are certain brackets but Im not sure what they are, does anyone know?

Yeah i think ours worked out at 4k more i think (not that we noticed it) Will u let me know if ur payment is drastically reduced, just so i can be prepared! Hope its not for you tho xx
Sorry dont know the brackets tho x

Well Ive just checked my latest payment and no change yet, I usually notice a change in amount before I recieve the new award in the post so I suppose its now just a waiting game, if I dont recieve confirmation in the next week in post then have to wait till next wednesdays payments, surely it would be sorted by then

If u hear anything bout urs before me can u let me know so then Im prepared, cheers

How do you do it? We've not been told anything about how to do it or what not. They are crap

Ah right. Both mine are 4 weekly. I like it that way cos the lump sum goes towards my rent that comes out a few days after.

I rang them up last Tuesday and they'd done the updating by Thursday so told me the new payments. Try ringing them tomorrow?

We always get a "one off" payment after renewing them, which we got on Tuesday. And our payments went up £8 a week

LOL i darent ring them incase its really bad!!

Update = its gone down by about 70 a month, which includes paying back an over payment of £300 at £5 a month. Its crap but better than i thought i suppose. We'll manage with that.

oh no mine will be the same...

they ask for the last 2 p60s right... but last year I earnt less than I will this year so how does that work? do i need to give them the 3 diff amounts?!

for last years amount - you might get a lump sum if they underpaid you. If you earn more now then yeah it will prob go down. They will ask u for last yrs wage, and ur predicted income for this year xxx HTH x

Thanks! On the renewal form it asked for my last years and the year befores p60! So then to update my predicted will be 3 amounts its so confusing Im gonna end up owing loads back :(
