hello all, i need some advice from you adies, im very scared, just wondering if anyone can help............

last monday i had some bleeding, went to the docs and they are sending me for a scan, tomorrow (7days after bleeding!!!!!!)

yesterday i had some brown discharge and have had it on and off today, and also when i wipe i swear i can feel my cervix!feels very low and hard!!!

can anyone give me some advice? is this the start of a m/c?

sorry if i have offended anyone but im soooo scared!!!

btw im 6+3

thankyou

No advice for you, sorry hun, but hope everything is ok and big :hugs:

When I started having my m/c I wiped and there was old brown blood then 2 days later I had been bleeding everytime I went to the loo not loads but enough to have me worried and then on the 2nd day after it started there were clots. I could not tell you if my cervix was low or not. I was examined twice and each time they said my cervix was closed and did not say anything about it being low. Fingers crossed that everything is ok for you. If you need to chat we are all here for you.:hugs::hugs:

when i had my MC it started with pinkish discharge that slowly turned to a small amount of blood over 2 days by the second day i was in agony and it was obvious i was MCing, its a horrible waiting game but try and relax as stressing really aint helpful, you will know if you have definitly MC'd so try and stay positive for the beans sake until you know otherwise, good luck hope everything goes well xxx

When I had my m/c I was examined and told my cervix was still closed but don't know about low. My bleeding very brown and very slight for 3 weeks then finally got a scan and there was a sack but the baby had died, they call it a missed miscarriage coz your body doesn't reject everything properly so I had an ERPC. I hope everything goes well at your scan hun and let us know xxx

I had brown blood that started off very slight and then turned heavier with a small amount of blood. I was sent for a scan at the hospital and they confimed that I would more than likely m/c. I was told the baby was only 3mm when it should have been 6mm so I'm not sure what happened to it but I was almost 7 weeks when I m/c.

I hope everything goes ok for you, each person is different and lots of people have brown bleeding and go on to have a healthy baby. xx

Same here, started with small amount of brown then bright red blood and m/c at 7 weeks my cervix felt low too.

good luck and hope you are ok, try not to worry as lots of ladies have bleeding without miscarrying :hugs:

hi everyone, well im still playing the waiting game!!! they saw a gestational sack and a yolk sack but nothing else, i have to go back in 2weeks for another u/s, she said there was a 50/50 chance. but seeing a yolk sack was a good sign! so maybe i have my dates wrong! fingers crossed! anyone have any experiance with this?

Hi mkmum, glad it went ok today. When I was scanned they were able to see the sack etc and they thought it could be an early pregnancy rather than a 7 week one. I know my dates were right though and there was no way on earth it could have been an early pregnancy so unfortunatly that was when I knew I was going to m/c.

Its good they are bringing you back in 2 weeks it sounds as though everything will be ok and that you might be a bit earlier than you first thought. xx

fingers crossed for you hun....hang in there.....

luv & hugs
:hugs:

hi happy, well my dates should be right, well, i think so, my last cycle started on the 2/05/08 so i know roughly the dates but i might have ovd late, but even though 6+4 could still be too early to show on a scan! oh i dunno!! its driving me nuts!!!!

Same here I knew my dates were right, Mkmum - I will keep everything crossed for your next scan :hugs:

I have bled brown blood, apparently brown is old blood though, loads of women bleed and go on to have perfectly normal pregnancies. About 70% of women bleed while pregnant. I'm not sure about your cervix being low though, no help here sorry.

Well I'm not saying it will with you but that's exactly what I had to do. I knew I was around 8 weeks and she could see a yolk sac and a tiny blob. She even did a transvaginal scan to check and she still could only see a tiny blob that she said was an early pregnancy and I was wrong with my dates. She told me to come back in 2 weeks but I knew something wasn't right so I went back in after a week to the EPAU and told them I was still having this brown bleeding and they sent me for another scan that day. Then they couldn't see anything in the sac at all. That's when I knew. If you can a way of not waiting the 2 weeks then I wouldn't. I couldn't wait that long to find out. Go back in a week and tell them you're still bleeding and are concerned and they may give you another emergency scan hun.

I hope this isn't what happens to you and it goes ok :hug:

Hi hun!

I am so sorry to hear your going throught this. Two weeks is FAR to long to have someone worrying, it makes me angry that they expect us to "rest" but all we will do is worry.

Anyway if it was me i would DEMAND to be seen tomorrow and ask for a HCG blood test to be done and another one repeated in 48 hours, that way you will know for def hun, because in a normal continuing PG the HCG level will double every 48 hours!

Thats how i found out i was having a m/c because they couldnt see baby on the 1st scan and i know my dates where right etc but sadly my levels did not double but stayed the same and rose VERY slowly and i had a "missed" m/c.

They did find the preg eventualy in the womb as they suspected eptopic.

BIG  to you and your partner, and i have everything crossed for you xxx

I know its hard but try and stay positive, you are right 6 weeks could still be too early. Let me know how things go. xx

:cry::cry: its not looking good ladies, had some more red bleeding today following quite a bit of brown, im thinking along the lines of what to do next more than "if it turns out ok" do i let nature take its course? or do i opt for intervention, think i would prefer d&c but im sooo scared of it making me sick due to the medication. can anyone give me advice on whats the better option? or shall i make a new thread asking? ](*,)

I would really wait until you go for your next scan before you decide this. Like others have said lots of people have this when they are pregnant.

I was told they don't really like doing a D&C unless necessary so I just let nature take it course, this will sound odd but i was one of the lucky ones it happened a few hours after I had my scan so I didn't have to wait weeks. I was petrified of having surgery and opting for a natural m/c was def the option for me.

Sending you lots of  xx

So sorry to hear your news. See what they say at the scan, although the waiting must be hell I am sure. Sending you  and hoping your LO hangs on in there.
xxxx
