Hello, I'm new on here and recently founds out I'm pregnant after a long wait. I am only 4weeks and 6days, so very early days.

I am worked cos ive had some severe abdominal pain, so bad that I any even move and have trouble breathing because it hurts so much. I had the same thing on Friday and that lasted 8 hours and I was very sick - we did the test that night. I was fine all weekend and then the same thing happened this morning. When it started to subside we went to the GP who basically said it's too early to do anything and just take it easy. Kinda came across that cos it is so early they don't really care.

It can't be normal to be in that much pain, I have been doubled up and screaming out in pain. Has anyone else had anything like this? Xx

hi Mrs Brooks

how are yopu now? Docs are very dismissive at this early stage as most miscarriages happen at the implantation stage which is like a late period with heavy bleeding..BUT YOU DONT HAVE BLEEDING..that's a very good sign.dont panic..in fact, the peanut might just be still burrowing into your uterus and getting comfy, hence the pain..

if it continues and its severe, please go to emergency not doctors as it might, just might, be ectopic..

i'm not an expert but as long as there's no heavy blood (some blood is ok not MC) you're just stretching..

good luck xxxxxxx

With this level of pain you need to be seen urgently so please go to A&E and get checked out. That doesn't sound like just cramp or stretching and isn't normal. The probability is that it isn't ectopic, but don't risk it. Your GP should have sent you straight off to be checked out.

i agree. U should go to a+e. Wishing u all the best xx

Thanks ladies, it has eased off a bit now but the minute it comes back ( and I'm positive it will) I will go straight to A&E x

to be honest, if you have been screaming in pain I would go anyway and tell them what has happened. Make sure you tell them that the pain was serious and insist they exclude the possibility of ectopic. It would be a right pain in the arse if the pain comes back in the middle of the night, and probably easier to get seen in the daytime. Another possibility is to phone the EPU. They may take some blood tests for you.

Yeah I might give that a go. We had IVF to get preggers so have called the clinic who worked so hard to get us this far and I'm waiting for a nurse to call me back now xx

Dunno why you would have so much pain. I remember being bloated and crampy, but not in pain. Hope all is well...
