My baby has been on my boobs for six hours now, except for a few changes, burps, and a 30 minute nap
I. Still expressing milk, I've checked..am I just not satisfying him? The formula is looking good right now...

I promise this is completely normal clusterfeeding/growth spurt behavior and very important in establishing your supply. It really doesn't feel like it now, and I can promise I hated almost every second of it when it happened to me, but this will pass. It has nothing to do with him being satisfied and everything to do with his impetus to suck, suck, suck in order to help establish your supply. Is your DH around? Make him wait on you. If you're tired and against cosleeping, make the dude stay up for a while on his phone or laptop while you nurse laying down and dozing. If you're not ready for bed, put a movie on and settle in. Just work on making yourself comfortable so that you can get through it. It's really tough, but it gets a hell of a lot easier once you're through the newborn stage.

Yep ^^wss.

I made a little hideaway in my bed. Get some tv, some books, lip balm, diapers, nipple cream, breast pads, whatever. Allow yourself to 'be lazy' to let the process happen. It will pass and when it does you will find breastfeeding so much easier.

You can get through this!

Yep, completely normal, especially at your LO's age.

Once I was confident that the constant feeding was normal, I decided to make the most of it... lots of movies, books, yummy food.

It'll be over before you know it. :)

Yep there's a growth spurt around two weeks it's a big one! It's normal and will improve. Bfing is very hard work at first but very easy and convenient once you've got past the newborn stage

Don't worry at all, you are doing everything right, it's tiring but normal x

As the other ladies have said this is perfectly normal. I can see from your delivery date that your baby is around 3 weeks old and there's a growth spurt around that time. You do feel like you spend all day with baby attached and it last 2 - 3 days normally. Chin up, it gets easier but it's tough at the beginning xx

Thanks everyone?not much better today plus every keeps waking him up and he wants another feed..

I'm with you. My dd2 was born on 19th Feb and has been doing the same for the last 2 days. Even though I know I went thru it with dd1 and that is normal cluster feeding growth spurt behaviour the light at the end of the tunnel seems a long and impossibly hard way off right now. Keep going though it was worth it for me last time and bf became really easy. Take care

Put on some trashy tv and ride it out. It won't last forever I promise!!

Still haven't given in to formula, I did pump 3 oz and got a small break last night though!
Leo slept a little longer too so I'm feeling better today

Thanks for the encouragement!

3 oz is good going - I'm pumping after every feed and getting a max of 2. How long do you pump for? X

I pumped for about 15-20 minutes
I didn't really time it that's just an estimate lol

Also, I have huge boobs and I have to squish my nipple through an entire feed for him to keep a latch..will I have to do this the whole time I breast feed?

Wow, that is a really impressive pump volume. I'm glad you got a break to regroup. You won't have to squish forever-- their mouths get bigger and they get more coordinated and it all just falls together one day and you suddenly realize you haven't squeezed your own nipple in hours, lol. Then you do a happy dance.
