Soooo excited!!! IVF *update PG 2*

So I was at work this morning and out of the blue DH text me saying he was ready to begin IVF, like NOW. LOL! We were supposed to start Sept of this year so we could save up some money and not be completely broke when the time came in Sept. Well, we've had the money for some time, but we didn't want to pay for IVF and be left with a very small savings acct, so our plans were to keep saving until September. Our main concern was we didn't want to have a baby and then be broke and struggling to pay bills after, etc.

So I text him back and asked what made him want to change the plans. He said we've waited long enough...it's been 5 years that we've been married and he doesn't want to wait any longer, and our 5 year anniversary 2 weeks ago made him realize that.

I was soooo happy to hear him say that...it brought tears to my eyes!!!
As far as the money issue we are going to look for some sort of payment plan so we don't completely deplete our savings, hopefully we find something that works for us.

For now, I have to research fertility centers in my area ask for price quotes and success rates, etc to see what will work for us.

Sorry so long, but I am SUUUUPPPER excited that we may be beginning this veerrry soon!!!!

So I looked up 3 different IVF places in my area, sent them emails as I was doing my research last night and couldn't call, and am waiting on their phone calls so I can bombard them with questions, lol!!!

I've gotten a little bit of info from some, still looking at others. Hopefully by next week I'll have one picked out!

So I think we have selected our IVF place. It's in Irvine, a little over an hour from San Diego. We have centers here in SD, but Irvine is giving us a 25% discount plus discounted meds, and when paying out of pocket, ANY kind of discount helps! Plus, my Mom lives in Los Angeles, which is closer to Irvine, so when I have to go in every other day I can stay with my Mom. So I'm happy for that!

I could've called in today to make an appt, but the truth is I was a little scared...I WANT a baby, but I'm scared of the procedures and the medications and the stress, but I will do what it takes. I guess it just now really dawned on me that this is the only way for us to have a baby....

So tomorrow morning I will call and make the appt for initial consultation and hopefully get things going.

Fantastic news hun.

IVF is a really daunting process, but it is nothing to be scared of. The first cycle i found really exciting as it was something new and different. This cycle I'm not quite as excited, but now that I've taken my fifth injection I'm starting to relax into it a bit more.
