My milk came in today and they are so hard, sore and feel bruised.

What can i do to make them feel better or do i just have to cope with the pain?

Feeding as much as possible & I used to use a cold wet cloth but I've seen a few people say not to do that

It wont last long honey. :hugs:

If they are so full it's hard to latch you can express a little which will relieve the engorement and a warm shower or bath will encourage the let down too. :D

apparently savoy cabbage put in the freezer works wonders. didnt try it myself!

I heard the savoy cabbage thing aswell. Haven't tried it myself but a friend did, she said it stunk though! It will get better x

Im using the Cabbage and I can tell you its working wonders for me, I was in tears thinking it would never end and the pain would never go but it has eased of a fair bit, the smell of cabbage isnt great but if it helps then I would def try it! I was also told to feed often as its the only way to get rid of the milk, hand expressing a small amount should help aswell!

I used to hand express some when it was bad before feeding and also sitting with them covered in a hot flannel in a warm bath used to help too.
It wont last long hun, stick with it and good luck x

like others have said, doesn't last long! and don't give up! it might be uncomfortable but its such a wonderful thing to give your baby! :)

:hugs: It won't last for long, but yes it's painful!
Nursing often will help give some relief, as will a warm shower or a wam flannel applied to your breasts.

x

firstly congratulations :crib:
I had a few probs when i was feeding my little man, i was told to use warm flannels it felt nice and did the trick -
