DD is just over a week old. Breastfeeding at first was a struggle but with help I have managed to sort out her latch problem on the right breast.
We were going well on the left until yesterday when every time she would latch she would clamp down hard and it hurts (sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for minutes) The nipple is cracked again but it doesn't really hurt once she starts to feed....could it be a fast supply/let down?
I am starting to dread the left side feed as it does hurt quite a bit.
Going to give my breastfeeding support worker a call tomorrow as would love to get this feeding sorted once and for all.
PS I tend to do the football hold on this side as it doesn't hurt as much and I can see her latch better. My little lady was 6lb at birth so quite small.
