Contractions did start on the Tuesday night every 10 minutes thought I would have a bath, silly idea they stopped 
. On Friday started getting contractions every 3 min lasting about a min from about 8ish. Phoned hospital at 9pm they said as long as I could handle pain then I was ok to stay at home. I wanted to stay at home as long as possible as usually I am in labour for 24 to 36 hours. So I was happy enough, then need a wee, and lost me plug so was def in good labour. Then sat on sofa and felt a bit odd so went to go to toilet upstairs, well by the time I got half way up I felt as if I was wetting myself. Got to toilet and trousers were wet. Not nice. Told hubby to go get Mum-in Law so she could stay with kiddies. Never had me waters go so was still not sure what it was and it wasn't how I expected either. Waters were discoloured. Hubby came back with mum-in-law and we left for hospital.
Got to hospital at about 11pm went into triage, to be monitored. Never had monitor on or nowt they just left me. Told them everything that had happened. After about 30mins decided to mention waters again and a MW said did you keep your pad ?? I said erm nope wasn't told to. Well when she saw water colour she went off to see doctor. They decided baby was in distress, they done the dreaded internal and found I was 5/6cm dilated. was fitted with monitor and they commeneted my contractions were rather strong (I sorta new this as I was in a bit of pain) But as I was'nt screaming they didn't realise how far along I was. They got the doc to fit a drip in me while I was there as the room wasn't ready on labour ward.
Eventually bout 1am they moved me to labour ward although did ask if I could walk and I was like erm NO so they wheeled me down. Got in the room and it was all a bit hectic, I was given gas and air and was in alot of pain by then. Babies heart beat droped a few times but was all ok. Within 48 minutes of being in the room Ryhana-Roze was born 7lb 4 and a half oz. From the time I got to the hospital to birth I was in labour 5 hours. We were taken by suprise by the speed of the labour and it was fab MW and doc were great.
Went down to ward at 7.30am MW's were so busy that I was left a while. When we went down the MW who delivered Ryhana-Roze even asked the ward sister if I was able to have a private room as I was extremley patient and she felt guilty I had to wait so long to be moved. I was given a very nice room of my own and had lovely nurses.
I was hoping to go home that day although they didn't discharge Ryhana-Roze as she swallowed meconium <<< No idea how to spell it. So she had to be monitored for 24hours. We were let home Sunday morning at 9.30am.
The day after she was born our nan died so not been on much had funeral yesterday. We are over the moon with our new addition as are her sisters. sorry if it's a bit over place.
