Reading some stuff on the internet has got me all worried about my current cycle.

I'm currently on Clomid 5-9, I started progesterone on CD16 as directed by my doctor. However before CD16 I hadn't got a single positive on my OPK's. I got a positive yesterday which was the second day taking my progesterone. (For some reason I have gotten false positives in the past from Progesterone tablets)

Now I've read that progesterone actually stops eggs being dispensed. so If I hadn't ovulated before taking the progesterone have I f**ked up my chances by taking Progesterone now? I feel like my doctor has shot me in the foot here, I'm a little upset because I really didn't want to take those horrible tablets this month :( Now I'm regretting it!

Can anyone tell me if this is true? am I just reading lots of tosh?

I feel like I wanna just take my Clomid earlier next month and just not tell my doctor >.<

(Sorry I've put this question in Clomid Club before, but I think it wasn't seen)

Hey lovely, i dont really have any advice for you, probably best to speak to the doc and question it hun?? its your body, and your emotions so if in doubt then go straight back
xxx

Hey chick, I did get my husband to call the doctor just yesterday regarding something else! You think I would seem neurotic if I got him to call again today?

no way its your body hun, if your concerned, confused whatever then ask!! defo
xx

You can take Clomid earlier. I took it days 3-7 my first month and 2-6 my second month. However, I would still consult with your doctor. Are they not doing scans to keep an eye on those ovaries/follicles?

Oh also, progesterone shouldn't effect the results of your OPK. OPKs look at LH (leutinizing hormone) so progesterone shouldn't make your OPK results any different.

Hi, sorry can't rovide any answers, although when I was taking clomid they told me that doing opk's was not worth it as clomid disguises this. Check with doctor about this. Also are you having scans to check size of follicles and lining as this is a good way to check that ovulatin is going to occur.
