I'm just wondering if any of you girls can help me... Let me explain, I really thought I was pregnant, but only got a small faint line on a test and then a few maybe-lines, and then all bfns... so assumed not. And now, sure enough, :witch: has arrived....

BUT I'm worried it could be an ectopic pregnancy, and here's why: I had Pelvic Inflammatory Disease a few years ago, which means that when I get pregnant there is a 1 in 10 chance of it being ectopic, all my cramps are just on the right hand side, and there's not as much blood as there usually is and it's all so dark. I hurt :( Much worse than usual...

Would anyone go to the doctors for this? Or just let it get on and see what happens. I guess I'll never know? Do you think it's just AF??

Really sorry if this is in the wrong section x

Edit: This is what my test looked like:

didn't wanna read and run, firstly heres some

I don't really know myself. Perhaps U could go to the doctor and see what they say but i'm not sure they'd be able to tell u a right lot about this suspected pregnancy but maybe it will get them to do some tests or soemthing for future pregnancies? Just a thought anyway.

Well I can def see the line...I would go to the Dr's and get them to check your bloods and explain your situation and that you are worried, they should take it from there and put your mind at rest.

Good luck with everything x x x x

yeh go an see ur doc but chances are it could have been an early miscarriage these do happen often before a woman realises shes pregnant
good luck with everything hun

If your worried, I would go to the Drs

I agree with the others darling. Go to the doctors if you are worried.

Take care xxx

It's a personal choice, I think if you feel concerned then you should seek a Dr's advice

Make an appt with your doctor. It'll make you sleep better when your questions answered. Take care.

sounds like a chemical pregnancy chick... thats what happened 2 me... got 5 faint positives then i bled and it was negative.

TBH I'm not sure about the tests, love. I have had lines that look like that on those tests and they were evaps. Those cheapo blue ones are notorious for them, it seems. Am not sure about ectopics as well. Don't they still show HCG in your blood?

If you feel you need to see your doctor though then that is what might ease your mind.

I'm guessing the dr wouldnt really do anything because if you're no longer testing even faintly positive then I would guess that the 'pregnancy' hasnt continued. I think it would be different if you were still testing in anyway positive, the lines to me look in the wrong place but that could be the light/angle. I would say though if you're worried got the dr's.

This happened to me about 2 months ago, got faint lines then negative ones then af showed; theres nothing anybody can do about losses that happen that early.

Didnt want to read and run ... :hugs:

I hope you get the answers xx

I bought what looks like the same test as you and mine was only a faint line as well so i bought another test, different brand +bit more expensive and that gave me a positive result..
I'd get to the docs if i were you. xx

Hey there, I think if there is EVEN THE SLIGHTEST CHANCE that you may have an ectopic you go and speak to your doctor immediately. It may be that it has been a chemical but you MUST get this checked out. You know the risk associated with an ectopic, please, please don't take the risk. Go to the doctor, call NHS 24 (if you are UK based!) or call the EPAU.

It is up to you if you want to go to the Dr's hun. The option is of course that it was a chemical pregnancy. Had you considered that? Maybe the Dr could set your mind at rest hun xxx

Personally I wud go to the doctors. Any risk of an ectopic is a big risk so better to be safe!
Fingers crossed everything will be fine, but please let us kno how u get on.
