My FS referred to them as 'forms'.. he said the size, shape etc. of sperm, is this the same as morphology?

My OH's morphology was 3% - the guidelines are 4%, so he was just slightly under, but the FS isn't concerned. I'm definitely not an expert, but going on what our FS told us, your OH's morphology is fine :flower:

Thanks Hun, it seems opinion tends to differ then? Thanks for the encouragement though, means a lot, I know I have PCOS - don't need this too! lol :hugs: x x x

The guidelines really seem to vary on forms. DH's SA last year came back at 6% and this year they are 5%. The comment on the test results described them as 'high level of abnormal forms' which I guess is true, but it sounds like 5% isn't actually that bad.

This year's SA came back with a slightly low count as well though :nope:

our FS said anything from 5%-15% is ok. Under 5% mean pregnancy can happen but may take much longer. My DH has 2% and we were told our only option was ICSI as the chances of natural conception were very very slim.

4% isn't far off 5% and it will vary from lab to lab as to how picky they are and what part of the sample they take xx

I wonder why my FS thinks we can conceive naturally?
I'm going to ask for IUI next cycle anyway, as he has abnormal viscosity as well as just 22% motility:sleep:

My OH's 2nd SA he had 3% normal forms but we managed to get preg this time 6 months after a chemical, but we got told to :sex: every other day, so we tried that for 6 months and we're convinced it's that, thats helped us, as before the chemical it took us 18 months to concieve but we were :sex: alot, everyday and somtimes twice..

I think it also depends on motility and count. My DH's motility and count were OK but not great so obviously if you've got a great count then that helps make up for the morphology percentage. I think motility should be 50% from what i can remember but it was a while ago so not 100% sure.

We were told we couldn't have IVF and had to have ICSI - inject sperm into the egg due to the MF issue. We were also told if trying naturally to try every other day or every 2 days.
