hi all,
been ttc for 18 months with no BFP.
Sperms are good. ovulating ok. Have a lot of spotting and bleeding, almost like 2 periods (starts, stops, starts again with in about 9 days)
Went for my HSG today, and the radiologists were confused.
only got dye into one tube. They said they think I have a split uterus.
They said I'd need an US - but I had one last year to check for polyps, and they didn't detect this.

I have no idea if it's a septum division or a bircornuate division...I'm just wondering if anyone has an experience?

I won't get to see the FS again till august, so I doubt I'll know more till then. and only then will I get referred for a US I would imagine.

Very unhappy bunny right now, and probably just venting. But wonder if anyone has any stories.

Hello!

I have a friend, who, at 40 and having had two children naturally, went for a hysterectomy only to discover after she came out of the anaesthetic and was chatting to the doctor that she had two vaginas and two uterus' (uteruses? uterii?!!)

She has always suffered terribly from period pain/fainting etc so wonders if that was actually due to having 'two AFs' each month!!!

Sorry I cannot be of more help and I hope you manage to get an appt earlier than August. Lots of Luck xx

I'd ask your GP to look at the report and refer you for an ultrasound earlier so you have results ready for august
good luck

hey chocolatecat

I have a uterine septum - its was discovered after I had 3 mmc and they started investigations. I am getting my op to fix it in 2 days.....mine was detected with a hysteroscopy, I don't know if you can tell via an US unless its v obvious as I had had loads of scans prior to the hysteroscopyand it wasn't detected! xx
