spotting 1week before af due

Hi ladies, was wondering if anyone could help me please. According to my fertility app on my phone I am not due af until next wednesday. I went to the toilet today and it was pink tinged. I dont know if this could be IB or if af is just early. I am normally have a cycle of about 38+days. Today is cd30. Any advice??

I think you'll know more tomorrow, if the spotting continues or changes color. If it stays pink or brown, it might be IB, but red is usually AF. GL and babydust!

Are you recently off BCP? Sometimes after coming off you will spot a few days or even a week before AF comes. But if this is out of the norm for you it does sound like Implantation bleeding! I would also wait a day or two to see if it stays or goes away.

thanks for the reply ladies! no im not on any BC, stopped taking anythin about 2years ago now. its just its very strange for me to be early and very strange to have such a short cycle. will wait to see what tomoro brings.

Hi Alicea, I really hope it's IB, but this happened to me last month and it turned out to be AF ... I started with light pink spotting 8 days before my period was due, which slowly changed to brown, then normal red AF bleeding. My AF ended the day it was actually meant to be due. I honestly thought it was IB because it was so out of the norm for me... Devastated when I got AF, why must the body play tricks like this haha?! It's got me a little worried though, just hoping it fixes itself and goes back to normal this month...

hi taylor- thanks for the post. Its just very weird cos im never early always normally late if anything! i havent taken any form of contraception for over 2yrs now so i know its not my body tryin to sort itself out. I have had no further bleeding since the spotting around midday. I will probably know by morning though as i tend to wake up with a heavy af when i do have my regular af. Fingers crossed for u this month!!!

I really hope that is IB for you! I was so weirded out by it as well, coz I am never that early either and I haven't been on BCP for 5 years or so, so it definitely wasn't withdrawal bleeding for me... It's a good sign that there hasn't been any more bleeding... Fingers and toes crossed for you xoxo

just to update, went to the loo this morning and had nothing on my liner. Had some brown blood on the toilet paper. not alot, but dont know if im still in with a chance or if this is AF coming early.

hows everyone else getting on??

We're in this together Alicea! AF is due next week for me also and I am having the same strange brownish CM with the occasional mucous-like CM with strands of rust coloured blood. First noticed it last night after going pee before bed (on the paper). Nothing this morning, then again earlier this afternoon after a BM (sorry lol).... very mild cramping and a complete and utter LACK of PMS symptoms! Very strange as I have never experienced spotting before and by now my PMS is usually very settled in and making itself at home lol... when will you be testing? Any other symptoms at all? I've heard IB can last for a few days at a time so unless a full flow starts I wouldn't give up hope!!!

Well just to update I have had 2 days of spotting followed by 1 day of what I would say was normal af bleeding. Followed by 1 day of spotting. Im thinking now maybe this was just very light and early af xxx
