spotting 6 weeks after csection?

I stopped bleeding after about a week and then got an uterine infection and started bleeding again but it only lasted a few days. Once I got that figured out a few days later I got staph/cellulitis in my incision and started spotting for a couple of days once I got out of the hospital. I officially stopped any kind of bleeding at 2 1/2 weeks and have not had any since. The other day I saw what I thought was the start of my period, I have been cramping for almost a week and have felt very bloated, so I went ahead and start taking my birth control like I was supposed to. The next day there was barely anything on my tampon, sorry tmi, and it has just gotten lighter and then stopped, I have a few spots here and there but not much. Is this normal and should I be worried about the birth control since I wasn't supposed to take it until I started?
