Spotting again, ARGH!

I started spotting brown discharge on mon, then got a scan on tues which showed that everything was fine and got told not to worry about the spotting, i then got a tiny dot of red blood then went really dark brown on wed(but no-more red since), it then stopped thurs & fri, now its back again today, ARGH! i just hope it doesn't turn red, i've had no cramps at all tho so thats a good sign right? we've only 3 weeks until our 12 week scan, i just hope everythings okay until then.

Hey Jen.. firstly try to stay calm.... as if!

with my MMC, i never cramped at all.. but the brown stuff turned to red... not heavy but def red. when i got a scan the baby had died about 4 weeks earlier...

In your case, your last scan seemed to go well, so thats a good sign. i would call your EPU tomorrow and ask for another scan. You will get peace of mind.

PS) my friend bled all the way thru her pregnancy, and she had a healthy boy!

hi jem, I undrestand how you are feeling, when you are bleeding it doesnt matter when the hospital tell you not to worry you cant help it. Our heads tell us thats not supposed to happen. However no red blood is a good sign.

I too would go back and tell them you have been spotting again and ask for another scan. 3 weeks is a long time to wait when you are worried.

Hi Jem. My sister spotted like that all through her two successfull pregnancies and is pregnant now and has no spotting. believe it or not she is now worried that she has no spotting. Its a funny old game this but remember as worrying as spotting is - it is not a definate sign of any problems.

I would ask for a scan sooner just for your own peace of mind. Maybe they could even bring your twelve week scan back a week just so you get that reassurance.

Its a good sign that you have no cramping and the blood is not red.

I had 2 mmc's last year, both of which with no symptoms what so ever. With my second 1 i had bleeding for 2 weeks but was nothing to do with the baby at all, was a dark brown colour and occasionally red, the doctor said it could be left over blood that had built up and now releasing x

I'm in the same boat. I have been bleeding/spotting since 7 weeks and ever since. from brown to reb brown to red. But babies are still in there and doing well last time I was scanned.

With my mmc I had all the pregnancy symptoms and never knew anything was wrong. This time, I have no big pregnancy symptoms and bleeding for 3 weeks and everything seems to be okay! My goodness I'm a ball of worry.

I agree with the other ladies, hun, please call EPU in the morning. A fresh scan will put your mind at ease and i am sure they would be happy to oblige.

Lots of women bleed in the early stages, so there is every chance that is nothing, but i don't think you should put yourself through the stress of waiting 3 weeks for the next scan.
