Spotting for days before period....Hmmm....

Does anyone have any idea what can cause light spotting from about 6 - 8DPO until your period?

My cycles haven't been normal since my D&C back in February. I start to spot around 6 - 8DPO and it just keeps going and going. It stopped in September for about 5 days after it started, but that was because we got our (ended in a chemical). I'm getting frustrated with this extra spotting. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi hun! sorry not much help. the only sensible answer I got was the suggestion from the endo specialist that it might be hormonal... I've had spotting over 3 consec. months (Jul-Aug- Sept) 6-8 dpo... still no idea what caused it.. it wasn't there last month...thank god!
otherwise..PID... polyps, IB...

implantation bleeding (IB)

PID (pelvic inflammatory Disease)- but don't worry about this one too much...You'd probably know by now if you had it..it's usually caused by untreated STDs

I paniked so much the second time ( first time i thought it's IB and was really excited) I went and did all STD test...checked smear test dates....all came back fine... so 3 months at the same time....it probably was hormonal...Are your progesterone levels fine? I know that low progesterone could cause spotting...but that's usually closer to the day of the expected period...
funny enough ...someone referred me to you when I started panicking in August...

im feelind down bout my spotting b4 AF arrives too.....just spoke to my fs on the phone & she thinks that its nothing to worry about but im still not sure!! Ever since jan ive had spotting 2/3 days leading up to Af fully coming....this mth however the spotting was for 4 days.....i asked my fs if my levels of progesterone were falling too low too quickly after i oulate & she said that it wouldnt be down to that....she said that to carry on with the clomid & the follicular scanning im having this mth.
