Spotting or AF???

So here i am again at the inevitable dilemma of calling this an actual period or spotting. I actually charted this cycle well part of it anyway, and have confirmed ovulation on cd 50 so af was due on the 3rd. I thought she was late and had decided that i would wait until the 6th or the 7th to test not before. Then last night after i noticed some pink tinted cm. After a trip to the rest room i saw bright red blood and it continued on and was accompanied by some blood clots mostly small but one pretty decent sized one, i even needed to put on a pantyliner. After a few hrs though the actual blood stopped and it was just pink cm so once again i dont know if i count this as a period or just some ******** spotting twinge. Although i thought it was only considered spotting if it was light pink or brown but if you actually saw blood flow like enough to wear pantyliners or tampons are needed its a true period. Someone please give me your view point of this. Do i consider this cd1 or just a spurt of spotting?

I think if it's just light enough for a liner and it only lasts for that short while it's considered spotting regardless of color.

I was thinking the same thing, i was also thinking that is pretty irregular so i scheduled an appt with an gyno, just so i can talk things over with her. Im gonna try and see if i can use dong quai to make it come on fully before the appt though
