Does anyone have one of these (or similar)

https://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wc...62_10751_-1_14054_60469_10001_14054#specs_tab

I am having trouble fitting it to the bottom of our stairs, as there is a very high skirting board there. This means the the gap at the top is wider than the bottom. It gives a range of widths (72-78.5cm). Does this mean that I can vary the width?

Sorry to sound so dim - I don't know how these things work!:dohh:

yes usually you can screw/ unscrew to fit the gaps you need it too, i assume this one is the same... but that is how most of them work :)

One of my stair gates I have actually attached slanty iykwim.... when it is closed it looks perfect but when it is open you can see that the end near the wall is higher than the far end. Does that make sense? It is still perfectly safe.

It means that you can make it fit in a gap that's wider between walls/door etc but I don't know how that helps your skirting board problem x
