My little guy has always been a good sleeper. From 9 weeks he was sleeping from 11-7, and more recently from 8-6 with a dream feed about 11. We've started on solids and he's dropped the dream feed. He's sleeping like a log from 8-1ish, then he starts waking every 1-2 hours. We put the dummy back in, put his mobile on and he goes back to sleep, but I'm shattered from doing this several times every night :( I think he's too reliant on the dummy, so I'm thinkng of going cold turkey. Any thoughts?

Agree with PP...6 months is a well known time for sleep regression, as is 9 months-ish. Neither of my girls were affected at 6 months but both had a slight regression at 9 months. DD1 sttn from 3 months and DD2 from 6 wks. They both had a few weeks of quite disturbed sleep all of a sudden around 8.5 months and it lasted a couple of weeks. In both of them their sleep returned to normal after that time. Just ride it out for a couple of weeks and i'm sure there will be an improvement then xx

We've just been through it, pretty much 2 weeks after she started weaning (at about 5 and a half months). She's slept through since 6 weeks so it's been a shock having to start getting up, especially when she decided she needed feeding at 1am!

It's starting to get better now, and while she stirs we're not doing feeds any more. But part of it has been that we put her in her own room at 7 months, and so we're not disturbing hey any more. It could be the same with her dummy, so it might be an idea to try dropping it and have a couple of nights of pain to see if it helps.

X

6 month regression has happened with both of mine and I guess it's just round the corner for #3. I'd ride it out for a couple of weeks before messing around with taking away dummies etc x

Well, it may have been a fluke but we stopped the dummy yesterday. First nap took 30 mins to go to sleep, second nap took 5 mins. Went to bed without a peep and slept 8-7 :happydance:

Sleep regression. My son skipped the four month and did it at 6 months. My daughter has yet to have One and she's five months. Not looking forward to next month! Haha

That good night was a fluke, the last 2 have been horrendous. We've basically been up since 3.30. I'm exhausted, and hubby is away. I've tried to stick to young in and checking him, reassuring him every few mins but when it's gone on for 3 hours I don't know what else to do. He's now in bed with me and is quiet but awake. I dream fed him last night, which we haven't done for weeks but it didn't help so I'm not going to bother with that again. I'm so tired I could cry, and in an hour my 5-year old will be up and I'll need to get him ready for school

When my DD hit regressions (4mths,6-9mths, 11mths) we Co slept and that way we all got sleep x
