My husband and I have been TTC for year now. We had a MC in April, at 6.5 weeks. Since, I have had 1-2 chemical pregnancies. My egg quality and reserve are fine as well as other bloodwork results etc. My husband has "slightly low" sperm count. I also need progesterone support post ovulation. We recently found out that, I seem to have an issue with ovulation after all. Super shocked to hear this but I know we can fix it.
I went for my follicle scan this past Monday (cycle day 15) and I normally ovulate close to day 18. My follicles only measured 6mm. The doc said it likely won't grow to 18 or higher by Friday. I go for a re-scan Friday morning. He is planning to start me on Clomid that day which would be cycle day 19. He mentioned he would just start me and not wait for my period to come in early September.
It seems late to start Clomid at cycle day 19, right? Has anyone had this? If I ovulate next week and we start our first IUI, do I even have a chance of having a successful pregnancy? He mentioned this would probably be "a bad cycle" since I am ovulating late.
Anyone with a similar situation with a successful BFP?
