still no improvement :( help!!!

I am 41+ 5 days and have been having contractions 4mins apart lasting 55secs since wednesday afternoon. midwife has been and gone few times.
midwife says i am definitly in labour just taking its time

any ideas to speed things up?????????????????

Are you worried about anything? Sometimes something as simple as feeling anxious can slow labour? If you are feeling worried about something, try talking about it to your partner or a friend, that might be enough to stop you worrying and get things moving.

i aggree with both the above, walking is good or a dancy aerobics dvd if you have one , bouncing on a birthing ball and sorting out any worries or stresses that you have.
my labour with ds1 lasted 4 days caus i was wound up tighter than a spring over the fact my 11yr old SIL was staying and being a total brat, it took DH and our flatmate and my mother keeping her out of my way to allow me to progress
