I had heard before that sometimes women develop a unique "aroma" during pregnancy. But I've had 2 pregnancies before this one and never noticed anything, so I thought I was just a lucky one.

From early on this time, however... P.U.!! :haha:

I feel like I stink all over, like I am emitting green animations around me, like in a cartoon! Fortunately I seem to be the only person who smells myself, as nobody has mentioned it (and my husband is not shy about announcing a body odor issue if he detects one!)

The worst of the stink is coming from my crotch, though. I want to say from my vagina specifically, but it isn't. I've, ah, done my detective work.  My vagina smells just the same as it always has. It seems to just be some sort of hormonal issue that makes my panties stink. No signs of any type of infection, so I don't think its that.

Please... somebody tell me I'm not alone with my stinky body? :haha:

Also, I'm wondering if anybody has experienced this in one pregnancy and not in another pregnancy? I wonder this because my 2 successful pregnancies were with boys, and we had our 20 week ultrasound this week and the doctor is thinks its a girl this time :)yipee:) BUT she was being a bit stubborn and had a foot tucked up between her legs, so he couldn't get a clear view for sure.

I'm wondering if, somehow, carrying a different sex of baby is affecting my hormones differently, making me stinky!?

Both my pregnancies have given me quite the strong scent. In my case, the worst offender is my underarms. My goodness, they're bad! I can take a shower, scrub them, get out and slather them in deodorant and they still have a real funk to them. Luckily like you, no one else seems to notice. Pregnancy is so weird!

Ew, my underarms are bad too, just not the worst part. Deodorant seems to keep them from being too offensive to my nose, at least!!

How long did the stink last after delivery after your first baby??

It was probably gone within a few days/up to a week or so. Then I was breastfeeding, though and that in itself kinda changed my smell too. But that's a much more tolerable smell!

Hi
I've def got worse underarm bo!!! And just feel generally sweaty all the time!!! Have put on weight but am not huge! Not noticed a smell down there but again just feel wet.... Did speak to consultant about it and he said it's just extra secretions courtesy of pregnancy.....nice!!
Xx

I haven't noticed stink but I hate hate hate being sweaty or even damp/wet. When it gets hot or I work out, I've always used baby powder after I put the deodorant on. All creases - under boobies, pits, crotch/inner thigh, butt crack. I hate being wet and usually those wet places grow bacteria, which can smell. Stay dry my friends!

I've not been stinky but I have noticed some inbetween boob sweat 😱 which can smell a bit funky ewwww

Caelli86: I've got the exact same thing!!!

My in between boobs smells different I would not say it stinks but that's weird!

Omg... I have the boob smell too....! I put it down to getting abit hot and sweaty but its there even after I shower :/ eww... x

Yes Bathbabe for me also it's there even after a shower
Pregnancy can bring some weird stuff ^^

Haha, I smell so bad! I wake up with B.O I swear. Also the knickers thing, ugh, I've been wearing panty liners. I feel so gross!

omg, the boob smell!! I have that as well. I'm shocked my whole family can't smell me

I occasionally have the panty smell too. Not fun. i got introduced to a Pure Romance product which is a lifesaver! It's called between the sheets and it gets rid of the sweaty yucky smell. I use the Island Breeze scent. Yes they sell sex toys too, but I like their other products which are amazing!

Haha I had this with my first , second pregnancy now( also a boy )but no stink so far !

I don't stink as bad now but for weeks it was terrible! I would shower like crazy with an oatmeal body wash every morning and I'd refresh several times a day with baby wipes. I also bought scented pantiliners. DH told me I smelled different but not stinky (he wouldn't have a problem telling me if I needed a shower or something.) I don't know if it was my imagination or what but I was mortified. I thought everybody could smell me

I have to wear a panty liner every day.. My undies always feel wet but its not even extra discharge. I think its al ost sweaty lol my thighs are getting fatter or something. I got an aerosol deodorant and i speay it quick over my undies/thighs if im weating a dress because i seem to sweat more down there. So weird. And i buy those little wipes, always and kotex both make them... They help me to feel refreshed and less gross during the day
Are you pregnant in a different season? It ould be because its summer you are sweating more!

I'm pregnant in the same seasons this time as I was with my last baby ... only difference is I'm due about a month earlier, but that's not very dramatic. And to be honest, I'm not really sweating very much anywhere, not even "downstairs". I do have a lot of excess discharge (so gross), but I start to feel like I smell almost immediately after getting dressed, long before any wetness can accumulate  I keep meaning to pick up panty liners, but keep forgetting (baby brain!!) so am just changing underwear as frequently as necessary!

I cannot shower daily because I have terrible skin issues, and daily showers dry me out even worse - but I soap up generously when I shower, and I use baby wipes every time I use the bathroom. Neither seems to help much, I guess panty liners are my last option!! And constantly reassuring myself that not everybody can smell me the way I do

I'm seriously just relieved I'm not alone in this... its mortifying!! Took me WEEKS to even make this thread as I am so embarrassed

I get super stinky, but mostly just b.o.! I've had to buy extra strength stuff, and even then it is a toss up! And I just figured the smell down there just became more noticeable because I can smell better? At least that's what I hope!
