Stopping breastfeeding

My lo is now 9months and I'm in the processes of stopping breastfeeding. In two weeks I'm traveling to a very remote national park and don't wait to be pumping in the woods.....or carry the pump while backpacking.....or have breast issues like matisitis while I'm out. The nearest medical attention facility will literally be hours away. Anyways at day four of no breast feeding a clear liquid is coming out. is that normal??? And when will this uncomfortable boobies be more comfortable!??
