HELP!
I am on nitrofurantoin for strep b. It is apparently making my nursing toddler very sick. (Vomiting and Diarrhea) I called her ped and my ob and the ped cant see her till next week when I will be off this crap and my ob is refusing to change my Rx. He wants me to pump and dump which I am fine with but I have zero milk saved up and she nurses twice a day (both in the evening).
I dont think she would stop if I make her stop for a week but i am not sure what to do here. I dont want want to wean because of this one stupid hiccup. I am also ticked that I was not told this drug can cause this. I asked repeatedly if it was safe and reassured it was. Then i look online and its not really. They even tell you to stop nursing if the baby is under a month!!!
