Hi,
Im thinking of stopping my met, im currenty on 1000mg twice a day (though probably only remember to take one dose now) my dh was diagnosed with azoospermia so we are now considering using a donor. however this wont be happening for 12-24 months time which is why im thinking of coming off them. Obv i would need to start them again when the time was right - they sorted my cycles out well and helped my to loose 3 stone in weight. Any advice/opinions welcome. thanks

It is really your decision......but why do you want to stop it? I could understand if it was t helping you, but if it is helping you lose weight and improving your cycles, surely better to stay on it? You don't want to arrive at the point of being ready to try with a donor and have crazy cycles again.....just my tuppence, but if something were giving me regular cycles, I would want to continue it.

Unless of course the side effects are terrible for you, then yep, give yourself a break.

I find the side effects are minimal now, (been on it six months) but it not regulating my cycle either :(

Hi
Im in the same position as you, I ave PCOS and take Met and DH is azoo. I was told NOT to come off the met as when its OCSI/IVF time if my cycle is more regular that will be best and no need for as many meds xx
